A lot of events had to happen for these two to meet.

Starting with a death.

Immediately when Julie & Dan reached out to me, I was excited. Julie being an actress and model, and Dan being a director and FPV drone pilot, both of them being based in Los Angeles. Two people in the film industry in LA were reaching out to me. To me, it’s the biggest honor having fellow artists reach out. While I love when any of my couples reach out, it’s special when someone who knows what they’re looking for step forward. A fellow person with an eye for film and what to not look for. While others may be nervous in this situation, I was excited.

And so they told me their story.

Cue Lynard Skynnrd

This story starts with the tragic plane crash of the band Lynard Skynnrd in 1977, before these two were even born. Fast forward a few decades, and Julie is setting sail to Los Angeles to pursue her dreams of being an actress. Julie auditions for a role in a biopsy of the band Lynard Skynnard and gets the role. To where she meets Dan, the assistant director. During their tip on set they talked together. It was a poorly scheduled production, so they got to talk for hours on end. Dan asked for Julie’s number, which she was confused by. Understandably, only because some had told Julie that Dan was married with kids. Which he very much was not. Safe to say that person was NOT invited to the wedding!

Julie and Dan were friends, and they allowed their relationship to grow naturally from that foundation. Until Julie said yes to a date with Dan, which he took her to see Pirate of The Caribbean 5. One that date, Dan left his hand palm up on his arm rest and Julie went and held his hand. The rest is history.

The Wedding in the Woodlands

Julie is an artist in the trust sense, and on this day she put her talents on display. With Beautiful florals, and a ton of DIY including hand drawn table numbers with different animals on each, this was a picturesque woodsy wedding with a DIY wedding feel to it. A Stone Mill Inn Wedding was the perfect canvas for Julie and Dan to express who they truly are. Offering a beautifully unique woodland area for the ceremony full of lights and decor hanging from trees and rustic interior to party the night away, this was truly the perfect day for these two.

Upon hearing Julie + Dan’s story, I knew this would be one I needed to tell. Knowing that they are both in the LA film industry really put the pressure on to make something beautiful they would appreciate, but I wasn’t nervous. Their Stone Mill Inn Wedding Video in Hallam PA turned out to be a classic. One I look back on when thinking about how to put together a story and make something that will stand the test of time.
