Traveling For A Wedding

This was a fun one for me. Sunset Ridge Venue in Cochranton PA, is located 6 hours from my home base in Bethlehem PA. As a wedding videographer in PA, long drives are just a part of the gig. Thanks to my home built car-camping set up for my hatchback Subaru Impreza and my love for camping and nature, traveling has become even more enjoyable. The day before the wedding day, I drove halfway to the venue just north west of State College and stayed at the beautiful Simon B. Elliot State Park which is where I would stay the following night after the wedding. Absolute vibe.

The Dude

The day began with a coffee, a bagel, and a lovely drive up to Sunset Ridge Wedding in Cochranton PA. After arriving, I could tell that party had already started. The excitement and anticipation for the day was palpable. An unexpected guest made an appearance early on and he showed that he was there to stay, I’m talking about The Dude (you’ll see him in the video). Rain threatened the day, but that didn’t slow down Logan + Stephanie. After a windy First Look, the day had begun.

Storm Clouds & Burnouts

Our portrait session overlooked the vista behind the Sunset Ridge Venue and featured a lovely fog and a few rain sprinkles. Stephanie & Logan embraced the weather as if it were a gift, and didn’t let it slow them down in the slightest. As they tucked away for the ceremony, thick clouds loomed in the distance. I used my normal ceremony setup but had rain gear on cameras just in case. As the ceremony went on, the clouds rolled closer and closer. You could visibly see the rain approaching. Right as Logan and Stephanie kissed and started walking down the aisle, the skies opened up. Once it was done, Logan and Stephanie hopped in Logan’s souped up Subaru WRX which they used to travel to PA from their home in Montana. Everyone watched in amazement as wheels spun and they absolutely ripped down the road.
